The president of PASOK-KINAL, Nikos Androulakis, spoke about his decision to keep his distance from Eva Kaili since the summer.
Speaking to ANT1 today, he said: “From July 26 onwards there was a development that led me to take a decision and discuss it in the Eurogroup of the Socialists. From the first hour I went to the Prosecutor’s Office of the Supreme Court for my complaint after the detection of the Predator, Ms. Kaili she made a statement that this is something common, that this often happens to many, and to her and to other MEPs, while nothing like this happened”.
He continued: “Furthermore, I was informed that in the Pega Committee of the European Parliament, which deals with wiretapping, he was trying to downplay the issue and that he was trying not to discuss this issue in the Plenary of the European Parliament.”
With regard to the escalation of the crisis in Mrs. Kaili’s relations with him and with PASOK, Mr. Andorylakis said that, apart from the wiretapping issue, “we informed her to abstain from the elections for the Secretary of the European Parliament and voted for the EPP candidate”.
“I am not a judge. Since last week, the reference to Qatar has alienated me and I have publicly distanced myself from its positions. I really don’t know where this case is going to go.
