Oikonomou: SYRIZA will know something – They don’t want the truth about surveillance

Response of the government representative to the announcement of SYRIZA on the publication of surveillance of ministers of his government

“Syriza’s screams and shouts show that it probably doesn’t want the truth. They will know something…”, notes the government representative, Yannis Oikonomou, in a statement, responding to a SYRIZA announcement regarding a publication about surveillance of ministers of the SYRIZA government. The official opposition talks about mud and distraction through a “willing propaganda machine”.

Mr. Economoupoints out: “Mr. Tsipras unequivocally assured the Parliament that no politician was monitored during his days. Today, according to a publication of the newspaper “To Vima”, during the administration of Mr. Tsipras, three of his ministers were monitored: Mr. Kotzias, Mr. Kammenos and Mr. Pitsiorlas. SYRIZA, which has long been mired in the mud of debauchery and slander, instead of responding, issues statements charging the newspaper, whose publications it relied on until recently, to the propaganda apparatus of the New Democracy. The Greek Judiciary is already investigating both the period of government of SYRIZA and New Democracy. The current panic of SYRIZA shows in relief its insecurity about its actions. The Government fully trusts the Judiciary, actively supports it through the state authorities and expects the speedy extraction of its findings. On the contrary, SYRIZA’s shouts and cries show that it probably does not want the truth. They will know something…”

It is noted that it had preceded the following announcement from SYRIZA:

We knew from last week that Mr. Mitsotakis’ last line of defense is mud and distraction.

And that he will attempt to do so, even if he is saved for the orgy of parastatal surveillance of ministers, politicians, journalists and officers.

We were not denied.

But he and his ever-willing propaganda machine are completely predictable.

The reheated food of the alleged monitoring of SYRIZA, however, will not save either Mr. Mitsotakis or his state.

Firstly, because if there really were evidence, he would have presented it long ago either in the public debate or in the investigation where the SYRIZA period was examined at the insistence of the ND and with consensus.

Secondly and most importantly, because there is no evidence and SYRIZA has nothing to hide or fear.

The EYP from 15 to 19 operated on the basis of the Constitutionally provided institutional guarantees.

We did not destroy records, unlike Mr. Mitsotakis, and we are at his disposal to check together all the provisions of that period, one by one.

All the provisions found where the law provides. Either in the file of the benefits, or the ADAE, or the prosecution.

We hope he agrees and the same happens for the period of the trial of the government. And not to hide behind secrecy, fearing that Androulakis, Koukakis, Hatzidakis, Kyrtsos and Telloglou are just the beginning.
