“They did crazy things again in the Aegean. Of course, we also did what was necessary,” Erdogan asserted – “We may come suddenly one night” he repeated
The recital of challenges against Greece continues Tayyip Erdogan. The Turkish president threatened our country (again) for the alleged “challenges” in the Aegean Sea, saying “don’t mix it up us. We have no quarrel with you in the Aegean.”
“They did crazy things again in the Aegean. Of course, we also did what was necessary,” Erdogan said at an event in the southeastern province of Mardin on Saturday.
His comments echo Turkish claims of a training mission over the Aegean Sea, which the Defense Ministry immediately denied.
According to the Anatoli news agency, the Turkish president said he “has told officers to ‘do whatever is necessary… if Greece continues to act like this,'” repeating his defiant warning: “We may come suddenly one night.”
Erdogan also claimed that the recent test of Turkey’s Tayfun (Typhoon) ballistic missile “scares” Athens.
Regarding Ankara’s moves in the energy sector, Erdogan commented that Russian President Vladimir Putin views Turkey “as the ideal location for a natural gas hub.”
“Putin said that Russia can supply gas to Europe through Turkey and told us that we can decide the price,” Erdogan said.
“We agreed and we hope it will be called TurkStream.” Erdogan said Turkey is also making strides in the energy sector with Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan.
