N. Hardalias visited units and outposts of the Armed Forces in Tilos, Kos, Pserimos, Kallimnos, Kalymnos, Leros and Farmakonissi
Visits to complexes, units and outposts of the Armed Forces in the area of responsibility of the Supreme Military Command of the Interior and Islands, in the Dodecanese, was held yesterday by the Deputy Minister of National Defence, Nikos Hardalias. Specifically, it was found in Tilos, Kos, Pserimos, Kalolimnos, Kalymnos, Leros and Farmakonissi.
Mr. Hardalias went to the headquarters of the Island Defense Administration (DAN) in Tilos, of the 588th National Guard Battalion (TE) in Leros, the “Agiou Fokas” surveillance posts in Kos, “Agiou Nikolaou” and “Faro” in Kalolimnos, “Hali ” in Kalymnos, “Pserimos” and “Farmakonisiou” on the homonymous islands.
In Kos, he met and exchanged greetings with the readiness crews of the UH-1H Huey helicopters, at the island’s airport.
The Deputy Minister of National Defense was informed by the administrations about the current actions of the units and outposts, while addressing the officers, non-commissioned officers, conscripts and national guardsmen, he thanked and congratulated them for the work they carry out on a daily basis, with the best possible and extremely successful way, with a fighting spirit and with tangible results of deterrence, safeguarding of sovereign rights and defense of the homeland’s territorial integrity, while sending strong messages in every direction.
Additionally, Mr. Hardalias had meetings with the Most Reverend Metropolitan of Leros, Kalymnos and Astypalaia, Paisios, the Most Reverend Bishop of Stratonikeia, Stefanos, the Vice-Regional Governor of South Aegean, Ioannis Themelaros, the Prefect of Kalymnos, Emmanuel Muselli, the mayors of Tilos, Maria Kamma – Aliferi, Kalymnion, Dimitrios Diakomichalis and Leros, Michael Kollias, the harbor masters of Kalymnos and Leros and the commander of the Police Department of Leros.
The Deputy Minister of National Defense was accompanied by the Commander of the Supreme Military Command of the Interior and Islands, Lieutenant General Dimitrios Houpis.
