Giorgi described in detail to the prosecutors the “Qatar plan” and referred to the possible involvement of another NGO and the suspicious role of a third country

After Qatar and Morocco, Mauritania is said to be the third country that may be involved in the Qatarqate corruption scandal as the Italian La Repubblica reveals.

The revelation was made by Eva Kaili’s partner, Francesco Giorgi, who described in detail to the prosecutors the “Qatar plan” and referred to the possible involvement of another NGO and the suspicious role of a third country.

At the same time, the former Italian MEP and alleged mastermind of the organization, Pier Antonio Panzeri, gave the names of three MEPs allegedly involved in the scandal, while his former assistant reportedly stated that “there was also a third country that allegedly bought favorable treatment , Mauritania.

La Repubblica reveals all three names that Pancheri “gave” to the Authorities, so that he could make a deal with the Authorities in order to go as far as possible in the “soft” areas. These are MEPs Francesco Cozzolino from the Democratic Party, Socialist MEP Mark Tarabella, who he said “visited Qatar”, and Maria Arena, who he said “I know he went to Qatar once and took gifts”.

In particular, Pancheri revealed to the prosecutors that “the agreement was to block resolutions against the two countries (Qatar and Morocco) and in return we would receive 50,000 euros” while declaring his willingness to cooperate with the authorities and provide information about other MEPs “first of all Francesco Cozzolino from the Democratic Party.”

At the same time, Il Fatto Quotidiano reveals Pancheri’s testimony about Mauritania: “I rented my apartment to the ambassador and this corresponded to: 1,500 euros plus 300 euros expenses. Pancheri took 25 thousand in cash. Even in Mauritania they have a problem with their image.

They hired Pancheri to get advice on what to do. We went to the Mauritanian embassy a week ago and met their ambassador and the Saudi who wanted information about what is being said in their country’s parliament.”
