Androulakis: “We want a life of dignity for the new generation”

The president of PASOK-Movement for Change, Nikos Androulakis, has been in Katerini since noon, who will speak shortly at an event of the party’s Pieria Prefectural Committee.

Mr. Androulakis visited the Department of Supply Systems Management (logistics) at the International University of Greece located in Katerini shortly after noon. Mr. Androulakis was informed about the program and the studies and referred to the specific policies proposed by PASOK-Movement of Change for the employment of young people.

“The reason for today’s visit is because we want to send a clear message that we have a duty to support education and its connection with the labor market, taking advantage of the country’s comparative advantages,” said Mr. Androulakis in his statements, adding that “with modern infrastructures, with scientists who know their subject very well we can open new fields in the labor market”.

He pointed out that in tourism, the primary sector, manufacturing, research, there must be a strategic long-term plan to create many good jobs in the country so that the Greeks stay here and not leave looking for a better future after completing their studies .

He particularly emphasized the fact that “we must do everything we can to have a qualitative development and not to say that unemployment is decreasing with salaries of 400, 500, 600 euros”. “We want a life of dignity for the new generation,” he emphasized.
