According to information provided by Manolis Kostidis, during his trip to the USA, Mevlut Cavusoglu requested that preparations be made for Erdoğan’s visit to Washington before the elections in Turkey
Turkey attributes the Economist’s harsh criticism of Erdogan, which they characterize as fake news, to “inexplicable hatred against the democratically elected president”.
In British Review article states that “Erdogan is a bully, he is leading Turkey to a dictatorship”, criticizing the Turkish president’s authoritarian rule and provocative behavior.
The new issue features the Turkish flag with Erdogan in the crescent moon, highlighting the negative Western perspective on the Turkish leader’s behavior.
In fact, it prepares for territorial disputes with Greece ahead of the elections.
“A flawed democracy could lead to total despotism. Turkey is on the brink of disaster under its increasingly unpredictable president, Recep Tayyip Erdogan,” the magazine says.
Presidency Communications Director Faretin Altun’s tweet: “Same thing again: The Economist recycles the portrayal of Turkey as intellectually lazy, boring and willfully ignorant. It seems they feel compelled to announce the end of Turkish democracy through clichés, misinformation and blatant propaganda.”
Here we go again! The Economist recycles its intellectually lazy, dull, and purposefully ignorant depiction of Turkey. It seems like they feel obliged to announce the end of Turkish democracy through regurgitating cliches, misinformation and blatant propaganda.

Erdogan in the US?
According to information provided by the SKAI correspondent in Istanbul, Manolis Kostidis, during his trip to the US, Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu called for preparations to be made for Erdogan to visit Washington to meet with Joe Biden before the election. No response was given to Cavusoglu’s request.
The Turkish media see them with concern developments for the F-16 commenting that “as long as there are objections in Congress, the F-16 issue will not be resolved”.
Even following them yesterday’s statements by Cavusoglu for the role of Bob Menendez, Turkish media express concern about new delays due to the democratic senator!
Haberturk’s US correspondent Ali Cinar reported: “The main topics of discussion were the F-16, the developments in Syria and the accession of Sweden and Finland to NATO.
But in yesterday’s meeting there was no result. No there is no result. The dialogue will continue. The F-16 issue will be a test of the Biden administration’s sincerity. Because the Turkish government knows that this case will not be solved as long as there are objections from some members of Congress”.
Besides, Turkish analysts comment that “Turkey is being given F-16s, but Greece will also get F-35s”.
They note that “the F-16s are a trap for Turkey. They are taking Ankara out of the game”
Political Science Professor Suleiman Seifi Ogun said: “The loss of the F-16 sale is a trap for Turkey. Because they are giving the F-35s to Greece. On the other hand, close relations have already been established between Greece and Israel.
We also notice that Israel does not say anything about this, as there is a close relationship between Greece, Israel and Greek Cypriots. Every week their cooperation increases. With this decision, they effectively take Turkey out of the game. So what; Are we going to accept this thing? Are we going to say ‘oh what good are the F-16s giving us’ and say that Biden took the initiative despite Congress?”
