Nikos Androulakis launched a fierce attack against Kyriakos Mitsotakis and Alexis Tsipras

The president of PASOK-Change Movement Nikos Androulakis launched a fire against the prime minister and the leader of the official opposition, during his speech this evening in Chalkida.

“Mr. Mitsotakis and Tsipras abused the words “progress” and “stability”” he emphasized, stating that “the tango with Kammenos, the control of the joints of power, the interventions in the independent authorities, the tax bleeding of the middle class, the flight of young people abroad and the non-management of the Recovery Fund as a tool are not progress for the joint advance. It is not progress that the National Health System, built by Paraskevas Avgerinos with Giorgos Gennimatas, is being deconstructed every day by Mr. Mitsotakis”.

He asked the citizens to give a strong, double-digit percentage “so that you have both progress and stability from the first Sunday” and added: “We have already learned the trick of the false shepherd, who cried: ‘Wolf, wolf.’ Thus, Mr. Mitsotakis also says: “Tsipras, Tsipras”. But we will have neither Tsipras nor Mitsotakis. We will have PASOK and a democratic faction”.

The president of PASOK-Movement for Change intensified his fire against Alexis Tsipras commenting on his recent report on two poles. ND and SYRIZA. “After five years of government, Mr. Tsipras says that there are two poles: Progress and the Right. And where is the Far Right? Why, we remember that for five years he ruled with the Far Right. Some people think we are amnesiacs. We did not forget that we got a bankrupt Greece from Mr. Karamanlis. We did not forget that we told the truth to the people. We have not forgotten that Samaras and Tsipras, together, fooled the people to take the seat of power”, remarked Mr. Androulakis while defining the stakes of the elections: “It is the opportunity to show another path of political ethics in the next elections. Either we will maintain the relationships that plunge the most creative forces of our society into despair, or we will change them by freeing the middle class and the new generation from compromise with mediocrity and decline.”

Androulakis

Mr. Androulakis referred to the case of illegal surveillance characteristically saying: “I was left without shouts on the European institutional road: the Greek judiciary, the European Court of Human Rights, the European Parliament and the Parliament of the Greeks. Now, therefore, those who told me “why don’t you go and get informed illegally”, forbid the legal briefing of Mr. Rammos in the Greek Parliament. So what are they afraid of? What is Mr. Mitsotakis afraid of and forbids the head of the independent authority to go to the Institutions and Transparency Committee and say what he found during his investigation?” asked Mr. Androulakis.

He added that “this case clearly proves that Mr. Mitsotakis and I have two different fears. He is afraid of losing his chair and I am afraid of where this authoritarian culture of governance will lead the country”, while criticizing the different attitude of SYRIZA. “They have the audacity to speak about the rule of law. Those who said that they not only won the government but will also win power. We don’t expect any lawyer from Mr. Polakis who himself blasted, like the Right today, the independent authorities created by PASOK” said Mr. Androulakis.

As for recent revelations of businessman Kalogritsa, Mr. Androulakis said: “Mr. Tsipras had his sidekick instead. The one who, as the competent minister, not only handed out licenses but also the shares of the channels to businessmen friendly to SYRIZA. This is not stability, it is not perspective, it is not the political ethos that the Greek people need in order to turn the country around”.

Finally, regarding the ongoing tension in Greek-Turkish relations due to the aggressive statements of the Turkish leadership, the president of PASOK-KINAL criticized the position of Pontius Pilate adopted by the Secretary of NATO. “We don’t need Pontius Pilate when the neighbor violates International Law. We envision European defense and security. Because, our borders are not only Greece-Turkey borders, but also Europe-Turkey borders”, stressed Mr. Androulakis.
