Referring to fuel, the minister noted, among other things, that “the government is not considering a horizontal reduction of fuel taxes at this stage”
In the 100 checks we do for profiteering in supermarkets, the delinquency rate is below 6%, said the Minister of Development and Investments, Adonis Georgiadis, speaking to ERT this afternoon.
Referring to fuel, the minister noted, among other things, that “the government is not considering a horizontal reduction of taxes on fuel at this stage. The horizontal reduction of the fuel tax would have two major problems: the first would have a very large fiscal impact, as we did not put the high taxes, we received them from the previous governments and especially from the Tsipras period” and he added that “there is no dirty profit in fuel. I pay the most fines. Yesterday I put in 4 gas stations […] However, they are minor violations in reality.”
The show also hosted the MP and Parliamentary Representative of PASOK-Movement for Change, Kostas Skandalidis, who emphasized that the horizontal benefits do not really help to ensure a productive investment of the resources given.
