“The count has been lost in the unfulfilled promises of Mr. Mitsotakis to return to the investment grade”
SYRIZA-PS accuses the prime minister of “cheating the pensioners” on the occasion of his recent announcements from Crete.
In her statement, Koumoundourou states: “Mr. Mitsotakis forgets that:
– He cut the 13th pension while he had promised to keep it in order to give this money to the privatization of the supplementary insurance.
– Deprived the retroactive allowances and gifts awarded by the Council of Ministers.
– He even taxed the retrospective returns he returned for main pensions, resulting in thousands of pensioners receiving the amounts they are entitled to, cut even to 50%.
-He made a “sea” with the pension recalculations, giving less money to the pensioners, who continue to either have a personal difference and be excluded from present and future increases, or receive less money than they are entitled to.
– He cut the second national pension to widows and the disabled and granted a second pension to thousands of former and current MPs, prefects, vice-prefects, mayors, vice-mayors, etc.
– Today’s increases are decided by SYRIZA law from 2017, but with 15% inflation in food, even these are not enough.
– It left out of support the low-pensioners, who instead of a 13th pension, got meager benefits (250 and 200 euros) completely disproportionate, with the huge wave of precision, which is sweeping Greek society.
Otherwise, the count has been lost on the unfulfilled promises of Mr. Mitsotakis to return to the investment grade.
As for the hundreds of projects he supposedly did in Crete, even the models are laughing at him.”
