Manzos to SKAI: “The movement of SYRIZA is an inexpensive revolutionary exercise”

“For us, things are clear: The opposition is always the last to leave the Parliament,” said the representative of PASOK

Talking on his TV SKAIon the show “TODAY” with journalists Dimitris Oikonomou and Akis Pavlopoulos, the press representative of PASOK-Movement for Change, Dimitris Manzoscommenting on the decision of Alexis Tsipras to withdraw SYRIZA MPs from the votes in the Parliament, he underlined:

“We are talking about an inexpensive revolutionary exercise. After the abuse of the term “progressive governance”, we will not allow the term “Unyielding Struggle”, a historical concept of our political path, to be abused. For us things are clear: The opposition is always the last to leave the Parliament, turning off the lights after ensuring that the MPs speak and vote unhindered. With this move, SYRIZA gives PASOK-Movement for Change the right to be there from the beginning to the end of the meetings and to vote as the official opposition”.

The Press Spokesperson of PASOK – Movement for Change pointed out on the issue of wiretapping: “There is no blackmail, there is no blackmailer and there is no room for blackmail. Mr. Tsipras yesterday he built on what the Spokesperson of his party said. This proves that it was not a hidden language that Ms. Tsapanidou used. If SYRIZA’s line is that someone is holding another faction and has evidence and can influence the political developments tomorrow morning, that in itself constitutes blackmail.”

Dimitris Manzos, answering a question about the current relations between PASOK-Movement for Change and SYRIZA, underlined:We have a value difference from policies and governance models that have failed. In the 2023 elections, consistency, honesty and stability of views will be assessed. In contrast to SYRIZA and in a completely different shade, politically and value-wise, we highlighted the issue of wiretapping. We persist and pursue the truth, we brought the Mitsotakis Government to face its responsibilities in Greece and Europe. SYRIZA resorts to cheap political gymnastics and does not bring results. PASOK – Movement for Change will guarantee both Democracy and Institutions. It did so in 2015-2019 and 2019-2023. Let the New Democracy, in its own party, look for those who said otherwise in the past and are doing the worst after they came to power.”
