SYRIZA-Progressive Alliance presents its program commitments with a series of videos

SYRIZA has published a new spot which refers to pensioners, as part of the “Planned, Calculated, Fair” campaign.

In its announcement, SYRIZA states:

“Free access to public health for everyone, again. Open hospitals to citizens, again. As part of the “Planned, Calculated, Fair” campaign, SYRIZA-Progressive Alliance presents with a series of videos its programmatic commitments towards everyone and all, but each time focusing on a person from whom the government, completely unfairly, deprives his dignity.

Clean faces, honest people, who we meet in the elevator, the bus stop, in the pharmacy counting coins, looking to find the medicine they need. It is unfair that they worked a whole life with honesty, offered to the country, like Christina, to be deprived of the free treatment, the medical care they are entitled to. It is unthinkable that citizens who are currently contributing to the country’s society and economy should be excluded from the National Social Security System, because the waiting lists do not fit them.

Christina’s words are not the wooden speech of some politician, but the real problem. It’s her life. SYRIZA-Progressive Alliance is committed to defending it, with a program, with costed measures, with justice. To support the public character of Health through the upgrading of the NHS, the EOPPY, the doubling of the Local Health Units. To create a network of home care for those who face additional difficulties in their daily life. To actually implement the measure of the family doctor with sufficient staffing, so that the appointment is not an elusive dream. In other words, to open again to society the door of public health that the Mitsotakis government closed in its face.

In detail, the program of SYRIZA – PS for Health includes:

  • Immediate recruitment of 5,500 permanent health workers. Hiring an additional 10,000 permanent health workers over three years.
  • Permanentization of all the health personnel who fought the pandemic on the front line.
  • Integration of the health personnel in the heavy and unsanitary.
  • Reform of the medical staff salary, with an introductory salary of 2,000 euros for a first-time doctor. Proportionate salary increases for non-medical, health staff.
  • Increase of Local Health Units from 127 to 380 throughout the country, consolidation of a family doctor institution, home care network, operational integration of EKAB.
  • Expansion of EOPYY services, full coverage of uninsured citizens in health equipment for chronic diseases.

Especially for pensioners, it is necessary to correct one of the biggest injustices imposed by the Mitsotakis government, the axing of the 13th pension. Alexis Tsipras was the one who established it and followed it.

He will be the one to reestablish it and uphold it again. In addition, the program of SYRIZA-Progressive Alliance includes the return of retrospectives in 3 annual installments, without fine print and asterisks, and the tax-free up to 10 thousand euros. As well as the commitment to end the injustice of personal dispute.

Because the citizens of the country do not deserve a faded life, immersed in dead ends, but a life with justice everywhere that will give them back their dignity. SYRIZA-Progressive Alliance can and will succeed because it has a plan, measured, costed, fair”.
