“Also, we must proceed with the support of the welfare state, Health, Education and social housing programs”, stressed the president of PASOK from Brussels

In the Prosynode of its leaders Party of European Socialists (PES) in Brussels, the President of PASOK – Movement for Change, Nikos Androulakis, participated.

Mr. Androulakis proposed the creation of a European Economic Sovereignty Fund, which will support weak economies with an emphasis on their productive base and the creation of new jobs, while regarding the current European Council’s agenda on immigration, he noted the need to revise the “Dublin III” Regulation.

After the end of the work, its President PASOK-Movement for Change proceed to the following statement:

“Ten years after the great economic crisis and certainly in the midst of the energy adventure, which increases inequalities and energy poverty, Europe has a duty to take faster decisions. Solidarity decisions. That is why I propose a European Economic Sovereignty Fund, which will support weak economies and their productive base for new jobs and a competitive economy.

Also, we need to move forward in supporting the welfare state, Health, Education and social housing programs, because one of the biggest problems of our time is the cost of living as rents are increasing every day.

With regard to the refugee issue, we have fallen far behind. The “Dublin III” Regulation cannot continue to put the burden on the first countries of admission and that is why it must be revised. There should be a fair distribution so that the countries have permanent relocation programs and the asylum application is made throughout the EU. and not only in the first country. These policies will keep us united and the people of Europe will have a better future of prosperity and perspective.”
