“No one should forget that after 12 years there was an unfreezing of pensions, but also that in the last two years more than 500,000 pensions have been granted”, added the Minister of Labor
“Our will in any case is for there to be a significant, but also a fair increase in wages. We should take into account the possibilities of the businesses that are also affected by the crisis, but on the other hand we should also take into account the needs of the employees”, he said from Larissa, during his presence at the event of the local organization of ND for the cutting of the pie, the Minister of Labor, Kostis Hatzidakis.
At the same time, Mr. Hatzidakis, referring to the government’s initiatives, said that “no one should forget that after 12 years there was an unfreezing of pensions, but also that over 500,000 pensions have been granted in the last two years”.
Among other things, the Minister of Labor, speaking about the upcoming elections, said that “in recent years, Greece has left behind the crisis and has definitely risen higher”. He emphasized that the issue is “whether we will let what we have achieved in recent years go to waste and lead the country to an instability for which we will pay.”
“I think that the Greeks have made their decisions, all the polls show it. If we want continuity and stability, if we want progress, if we want what Konstantinos Karamanlis envisioned, that is, an advanced European country, the only solution for this to happen is a ND government with Kyriakos Mitsotakis as prime minister,” he noted.
Finally, the minister also referred to the dominant issue of current affairs concerning our country’s humanitarian aid to the earthquake victims of Turkey. As he noted, “sensitivity and humanity know no borders”, to add that “Greeks are above all people, without of course forgetting the provocation that has existed in the last period”.
