The government’s development vision for Western Macedonia, which includes projects amounting to 4 billion, is presented today by the prime minister and the relevant ministers, as Mr. Mitsotakis during his visit to Ptolemais.

“These are projects that will change the face of the region and launch many new public and private investments,” the prime minister pointed out.

In the greeting he addressed to its citizens Ptolemais Mr. Mitsotakis referred to the government’s work and underlined: “We kept our main commitments: we raised wages, created jobs, made Greece safer and stronger geopolitically. And, most importantly, when we faced difficulties we supported society .

During the time of the corona virus, we gave more than 40 billion to be able to keep the businesses standing and support the workers. And now that we are facing an unprecedented accuracy crisis, again the state is here to support mainly our most vulnerable fellow citizens.

Next month the “Market Pass” will begin to be disbursed: a 10% discount on supermarket purchases for practically all Greek households.

Pensions increased for the first time. Those of you who didn’t get a raise due to a personal difference, just be patient, there will be some good news for you this week, because I know there is this backlog which of course comes from the past.

Now some people are tearing their clothes but the Katrougalu law was not passed by us, it was passed by others.

So we will contrast toxicity and populism with responsibility and serious political discourse. We are not going to enter into an auction of benefits. We will only commit to what we know we can deliver. Because we are a responsible and serious faction”.

The Prime Minister referred to his visit to the lignite plant tomorrow “Ptolemaida 5” and noted:

“Tomorrow I will have the opportunity to be at the inauguration of the last large lignite unit, in “Ptolemaida 5”, because lignite will be a strategic reserve for our country. But at the same time the green transition, which we all know for sure will be implemented , will be done fairly.

In a fair way and ensuring – I’ll say it again – that Western Macedonia will have the lion’s share of those incentives that will allow you to look to the future with optimism.”

He also referred to the dilemma of the parliamentary elections, saying: “Let the message be sent clearly, from the first ballot box, that what is ultimately asked in this election is simple: are we going forward or are we going back? And who will ultimately govern this place? The serious and responsible New Democracy or the irresponsible and populist SYRIZA? That is the dilemma. It is very simple, it is very clear. It is who you want to have as the prime minister of the country, representing you abroad and fighting for your own interests . Greek citizens will answer these, first and foremost the fighters, old and new friends of the faction will answer them. Old fighters who fought in difficult times, but also new friends who came and joined our forces for a great progressive, patriotic alliance. This is what New Democracy expresses, and with this alliance we will lead Greece into the future with security, consistency and stability.”
