Matters related to the upgrading of the cooperation between the Air Forces of Saudi Arabia and Greece, both in the operational and in the training sector, were at the center of the meeting of the heads of the Air Force of the two countries, Vice Admiral Turki bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and Themistocles Bourolias, in the context of the official visit made by the Greek head of the General Assembly to the Arab country.

Also, Mr. Bourolias met with the Commander of Air Defense Forces, Lieutenant General Mazyad bin Sulaiman Al-Amritsar, with whom he discussed issues related to the development and operational operation of the Greek Patriot Artillery that has been stationed in Saudi Arabia, as well as with Chairman of the General Staff of Royal Saudi Armed Forces, General Fayyad bin Hamed bin Raqed Al Ruwaili.

At the same time, the GEA leader – accompanied by the ambassador of Greece in Riyadh, Alexis Konstantopoulos and the commander of the Air Defense of the 2nd Group of Saudi Arabia, Major General Bandar Faihan Al-Jabal – visited the Hellenic Force of Saudi Arabia (ELDYSA) in Yanbu, where he is deployed PATRIOT Guided Missile Artillery, as part of its participation in the mission of the international initiative “Integrated Air Missile Defense Concept”, as well as the 120 Air Defense Battalion, where he was received by their commanders, Major Generals Georgios Kapoulas and Abduallh Hamdan Al-Ghamdi, respectively, and spoke with the operational and technical staff of the Artillery.

Finally, Mr. Bourolias attended the Distinguished Visitors Day (DV Day) of the “Spears of Victory 2023” exercise, at the Dahran Air Base, while he visited and spoke with the flying and technical personnel of the 337th Squadron of the 110th Fighter Wing, who participated in exercise.
