The prime minister referred to the measures to support society that the government has taken and emphasized that it made Greece stronger despite the many crises it faced and was always by the side of citizens and businesses
“How happy I am every time I return to my political home. Because this is where I am elected and I will continue to be elected here,” said Kyriakos Mitsotakis speaking at a civic gathering at Dove.
“This year marks 20 years since I started my political journey in 2003 and my first appearance was at a gathering of Kostas Karamanlis in Egaleo”, he continued.
The Prime Minister emphasized that the government made Greece stronger despite the many crises he faced and at every moment he was by the side of citizens and businesses.
“As long as the economy is developing, any fiscal surplus will be directed to social policies because we are the great popular faction that unites the Greeks”, he underlined.
On this he mentioned the increases in pensions after 12 years, the extraordinary allowance for those who did not get increases due to personal differences, the market pass inviting everyone to join the platform that was opened “to absorb a significant part of the increases of imported inflation” .
And he continued: “We are close to the citizens. We will continue. We will always tell the truth.”
Mr. Mitsotakis emphasized that he kept the pre-election commitments of 2019, taxes and contributions were reduced, it was increased twice and a 3rd increase of the minimum wage is coming and Greece is safer and stronger.
“The US Secretary of State also acknowledged this yesterday,” he said, adding that the upcoming election is crucial.
“I have no doubt that the Greeks will take a stand and respond to the central dilemma of the elections and say ‘we don’t want to go back again,'” he pointed out and asked everyone to approach the undecided and explain to them what the government did .
“As I said in 2019 that the main issue was to reduce taxes and we reduced them, in the next four years the main issue is to increase wages and we will increase them in both the public and private sectors”, he emphasized.
He also said that in the field of health in the last few days, emergency services practically no longer have ranches and talked about a new NHS at the service of every citizen.
“We have more energy, experience and we will change Greece. We will achieve a great victory in the elections”he emphasized, while estimating that Western Athens will be the big surprise of the elections.
“I will not say when exactly the elections will be held. They won’t be long. Our first big gathering after they are announced will be in Western Athens”, underlined Kyriakos Mitsotakis.
