Kemal Kilicdaroglu blames Red Crescent and Disaster Management Agency for non-existence in earthquake-hit areas – Erdogan’s angry response
Fierce conflict of Kemalist leader (Republican People’s Party – CHP) Kemal Kilicdaroglu with the president of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan over the ruins of the devastating earthquakes.
As reported by SKAI’s Istanbul correspondent Manolis Kostidis, Kemal Kilicdaroglu accused the Red Crescent and the Disaster Response Agency (AFAD) of non-existence in the earthquake-stricken areas.
“The people want tents. Where are the scenes? of the Red Crescent, where are the Disaster Management Agency’s supplies? How is it possible that this country has no stock of tents?’ asked Kemal Kilicdaroglu.
Kilicdaroglu’s statements angered Erdogan. “The rude man does not leave rudeness… He came out and said ‘where is the Red Crescent?’ We didn’t see the scenes, their food.” Immoral, dishonest, vulgar! This Red Crescent distributes food to almost 2.5 million people” he answered.
