With a new announcement, the Head of Transparency of SYRIZA-Progressive Alliance, Yiannis Ragoussis, responds to what is mentioned in the announcement of the Ministry of the Interior regarding the transfer of the Larissa station master.

“This is exactly what we expected. The government’s response last night, through the Minister of the Interior Mr. M. Voridis, is the most official confession of government guilt, as well as the most authoritative confirmation of the finding that we have reached that “ultimately, the client-staff state of the Mitsotakis government is what unfortunately is behind the tragedy in Tempi”, the head of Transparency of SYRIZA-PS, Yiannis Ragousis, responds today to the announcement of the Minister of the Interior, Makis Voridis.

“We are explaining ourselves. What emerges from the comparison of last night’s government response, with the Official Gazette of the transfer of the fatal Station Commander to the OSE of Larissa? It results from the full knowledge and cooperation of the government, in the effort to cover up the illegal transfer of the fatal Stathmarchis”, he says and continues:

“How; With the EK TON YSTERON exception of the age limit, through the Karamanlis Ministerial Decision, on May 30, 2022, (Government Gazette 2623). That is, the specific Ministerial Decision that Mr. Voridis mentions and invokes in his answer”.

“Why EK TON YSTERON?”, asks G. Ragousis to explain: “Because according to the Official Gazette of the transfer, so before the Karamanlis Ministerial Decision, on May 30, the following had already been done:

1. On April 7, 2022, the OSE had already set the age limit of 48 years as a condition for transfer to the post of Station Master.

2. On April 13, 2022, the Station Master had already submitted an application, which should have been immediately rejected due to exceeding the age limit.

3. On May 17, 2022, with the letter to his department, as well as with the reply document from his department of May 25, 2022 approving the transfer, the prerequisite procedure was already unlawfully completed.”

“Therefore, after the government’s response through the Home Secretary, no questions remained for any citizen. The evidence, the official documents, the indisputable dates, the sequence of events, absolutely condemn the Mitsotakis government”, he emphasizes and concludes:

“Unfortunately, if the legality had been observed, the specific employee would not have been able to occupy the specific position of the Larissa Station Master and would not have been found exercising the specific duties on the fateful night of February 28.”
