The Greece-Israel Defense Cooperation Program for 2023 was signed, yesterday, Wednesday, March 15, in Tel Aviv, by the Director of the Directorate of International Relations of the Greek Defense Ministry, Brigadier General Nikolaos Holeva, and the head of the Department of International Cooperation of the General Staff of the Israeli Armed Forces, Colonel Gil Dolov.

The program includes 58 activities of which 25 exercises, 15 trainings and 18 other actions that will take place in both countries, and concern among others:

  • Participation in cross-branch exercises, as well as in those corresponding to the individual Branches of the Armed Forces.
  • Joint training of Special Forces – Special Operations Forces.
  • Participation of trainees in national-interdisciplinary schools and multinational schools, as well as in seminars.
  • Staff meetings and conversations on matters of mutual interest.
  • Co-training courses in Crisis Management, Electronic Warfare, as well as Search and Rescue.

The signing of the program confirms the already close military cooperation between Greece and Israel and further deepens the strong ties of their Armed Forces, helping to strengthen the role played by the two countries in ensuring stability and security in the Eastern Mediterranean region and beyond .
