A message via Tik Tok was sent by Kyriakos Mitsotakis, a few hours after the announcement of the date of the elections (May 21).

The Prime Minister insisted on the independence of the New Democracy, asking for a strong mandate, in order to deal with the pathologies of the State more quickly.

“So we announced the date of the elections to be held on May 21. Until then we will have the opportunity to say a lot. To make an honest account of our work in these 4 years, what we achieved, to speak honestly about our weaknesses and our mistakes. Let’s remind the citizens where Greece was in 2019 and where Greece is in 2023. Let’s remind the citizens that we kept the basic pre-election commitments,” he emphasized in the video from his office at Megaros Maximos.

“The subject of discussion should be the many things that need to be done from now on,” he added, citing his goals for raising wages, solving the housing problem and the problems facing young people.

“We should talk about what’s holding us back. For the great pathologies of the state, the foci of anachronism, worthlessness. All of these should be scanned with even greater speed. And this is the mandate that I will personally request from the Greek people. Faster, bolder, to take Greece further and higher. And we will vote on this on May 21” he emphasized in conclusion.
