The general secretary of the KKE Dimitris Koutsoubas met on Sunday in Thessaloniki, within the framework of the Conference of the Party Organization of Central Macedonia of the KKE, with the former MP Asimina Xirotiri – Aikaterinariwhich in its statement has announced its association with the KKE.

In the battle of the May 21 parliamentary elections, Asimina Xirotyri-Aikaterinari will be a candidate on the State ballot of the KKE.

The following have also been announced for the State ballot:

– Costas Giannakos, fire chief, president of the Panhellenic Union of Veteran Firefighters.

– Kostas Triantafillou, professor of the Medical School of the University of Athens.

– Dionysis Tsaknis, singer and composer.

– George Roussis, university professor.

Greeks who live and work abroad also participate in the State ballot:

-Anna Grigoriadou, PhD in Environmental Issues (Berlin, Germany).

– Redzelas Panagiotis, assistant professor of Social Psychology, University College London (Birmingham, UK).

-Alopoudis Panagiotis, nurse, member of the operational Council at the Rems-Murr-Kliniken hospitals and member of the local branch of the Ver.di trade union (Sordorf, Stuttgart, Germany).

Yussuf Embrou, from the Muslim minority, graphic designer, executive of TO Rodopi of the KKE, member of the Board of the Union of Private Employees of Komotini (ENIDYK) and member of the artistic group “Fireart”, who lives and works in Rodopi, is also a candidate.
