The Governance Program of the New Democracy in writing Braille delivered, at the offices of the National Confederation of Persons with Disabilities, by the Program Secretary, Haris Theocharis and the Secretary of Persons with Disabilities, Kostas Lolitsas.

The Program was received by its General Secretary ESAmeAVassilis Koutsianos and the member of the Executive Secretariat, Dimitris Sifakis.

At the meeting, which took place, issues were discussed, such as the National Action Plan for the Rights of the Disabled, the institutionalization of the Personal Assistant for persons with disabilities, the Disability Card and other initiatives of the Government.

It was a common finding that the Prime Minister, Kyriakos Mitsotakis, promoted the implementation of a road map, which changes the way society treats people with disabilities.

Special reference was made to the issue of Employment of people with disabilities, in the Public and Private sector, as well as the role of DYPA, in terms of providing individualized action plans.

Accessibility in school units and, in general, the National Accessibility Plan, with an emphasis on Climate Change, were positively assessed, as was the completion of the transfer of KEPA services to modern and upgraded facilities, at the Stadium of Peace and Friendship.

The meeting was also attended by Panagiotis Markostamos, Vice-President of the National Federation of the Blind and Antonia Dimos, Deputy Program Secretary.
