“There are persons who are in the EYP, judges, businessmen, politicians, the justice will tell us”, he commented on the matter of surveillance
“I have appealed to both Greek and European justice. I trust them and expect results. The role of those who participated in this scandal should be investigated and if they are found guilty they should go to prison”, said the President of PASOK – KINAL, Nikos Androulakis, in an interview on the main news bulletin of ANT1 and Nikos Hatzinikolaou, when he was asked about his statement in yesterday’s debate, regarding that some people involved in the surveillance and wiretapping scandal. He clarified that it also concerns political figures if their guilt is proven. “There are persons who are in the EYP, judges, businessmen, politicians, justice will tell us about them. I am not predicting any result” he added.
He also commented negatively on him Kyriakos Velopoulossaying that he “made an unacceptable attack on Orthodoxy” and that he “expects the reaction from the official church”.
Its president PASOK-KINAL he expressed the belief that a Government will emerge after the elections on May 21st, stressing that this is his intention so that there is no need for a second appeal to the polls. He argued that “powerful economic interests risk the risk of non-government in order to support Mitsotakis and separated PASOK-KINAL from ND and SYRIZA underlining that they are a different party. “PASOK has the political endowment of Andreas Papandreou and is a socialist centre-left party, in contrast to SYRIZA which is of communist origin and ND which is a party of the popular Right”.
To the question of whether he feels closer to ND or SYRIZA and with whom he would prefer to co-govern, he replied that “we are against the practices of both Mitsotakis and Tsipras”.
Regarding his position that he will not accept Mitsotakis or Tsipras as the next Prime Minister, Nikos Andropylakis emphatically reiterated that he will not impose the Prime Minister. “He will be a face of common acceptance, just like ministers in key ministries. If Mitsotakis and Tsipras do not agree with this proposal of mine, then let the two of them co-govern together.” He launched a new attack on the face of the Prime Minister, saying that “he does not govern with the ND but with his company in Maximos and some ministers from the LAOS”.
Regarding the Economy, Mr. Androulakis emphasized that “the Mitsotakis government undertaxed the super profits of large companies” and underlined that PASOK’s program is fully documented and costed, while he left points for the pre-election announcements of ND and SYRIZA, agreeing that there should be an evaluation and costing of all programs from some authority.
He underlined how PASOK-KINAL for participating in a cooperation government prioritizes the strengthening of the social state with strong Public Education and Public Health, tax justice and national consensus on national issues so that there is a single line.
