It’s easy to throw fireworks, but you have to say what you mean,” he argued, referring to the position of PASOK – KINAL president Nikos Androulakis on the wiretapping issue
“At some point we must tell the Greek people the truth. As a political leader I cannot judge the other political leaders, but as a human being I can judge that even after the statements that they lied, stated the president of the Hellenic Solution Kyriakos Velopoulos, speaking to the Star’s main news bulletin and to Mara Zachareas yesterday’s debate. “No one said that we are the only party that asked the inter-party committee that all questions be asked freely. All the other leaders forbade reporters from asking questions for fear, I imagine, of running out of arguments. We must at some point tell the Greek people the truth. It’s easy to throw fireworks, but you have to say what you mean,” he argued, referring to the position of PASOK – KINAL president Nikos Androulakis on the wiretapping issue.
Asked to comment on the appearance of the other leaders, he replied:
“As a political leader I cannot judge the other political leaders, but as a human being I can judge that they lied again when they came out and this is very serious for a politician who asks for the vote of the Greek people” repeating that the inter-party did not allow a meaningful dialogue.
Asked about the possibility of cooperation after the elections, he said.
“Yesterday everyone addressed their party audience. Even me. This means they want to make a solid mass of people. But since they themselves know that all three will co-govern, let’s see how they will cover it later… They will say for reasons of national need that Greece should not go ungovernable, they will invoke all this and they will co-govern” he concluded.
