“We are proceeding with the demarcation of the maritime zones. Greece now has a strong voice, both diplomatically and nationally. And this effort should be continued and consolidated even more”, Minister of Shipping Yiannis Plakiotakis said to SKAI and the show “Kalimera” with Giorgos Autias.

On the occasion of the elections in Turkey, Mr. Plakiotakis underlined that “whatever the result, Turkey’s attitude will be seen immediately after the elections. We insist on a good neighborly relationship, with the basic condition being respect for the rules of international law and the delimitation of the only difference we have with Turkey, the maritime zones”.

“In any case, we are strengthening the defense armor of our country. Greece is a pillar of security and stability in the wider region”, he added.

Referring to the proposal of the Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis for the costing by the GLK of the parties’ programs, Mr. Plakiotakis emphasized that “the proposal of the Prime Minister is very useful. If it had been implemented earlier, it would have relieved us of many announcements and adventures. It should be accepted by all the parties.”
