“You don’t have enough money for anything. You even have to think about a coffee” says the candidate for the president of Turkey
Two days after the first round of elections in Turkey, presidential candidate Kemal Kilicdaroglu sent a message to young people in an attempt to win them over to his side.
As reported by SKAI’s correspondent in Istanbul, Manolis Kostidis, Kilicdaroglu among other things mentions to the young people that they have been robbed of the joy of life, as they even think of going for a coffee. “We have 12 days, either we will get out of this dark tunnel or we won’t” concludes Kilicdaroglu’s message.
His message in detail:
Dear Gençler,
Ilk tur bitti. En büyük real şu ki, sandıkın ıyalış ızımıstır. Those who want to change are more than those who want to change in this country.
Anak şurası da net, bu kadar ceberut bir impitkmentdan ikkei taraf da biziz, which needs to fight so much more.— Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu (@kilicdarogluk) May 16, 2023
“Dear young people.
The first round is over. The bigger truth is that the message of change came from the ballot box. Those who want change now outnumber those who don’t in this country. However, what is also clear, is that we are the party that must fight much harder to get rid of such a ruthless power.
I also got the message from my new friends. I respect that. I will listen to their concerns, but I want them to listen to me too. We are at such a point that in Parliament they have opened all the roads, to those who want to have women as inanimate objects.
And they put the biggest burden on the young. You don’t have enough money for anything. You even have to think about a coffee. The joy of life has been stolen from you. However, youth should actually be carefree. They didn’t let you experience this, not even for a day. As we claim, they are united against you.
Now let’s see, what do we have at the end of the day? A bottomless darkness… Do you understand? Your youth will never come again.
We have 12 days, we either get out of this dark tunnel or we don’t.”
