The strong support that Greek-American relations enjoy from the entire political system, both in Washington as well as in Athens, underlines the State Department on the occasion of the conclusion of the first round of the Greek elections.

In his response, the representative of the US Department of State congratulates the Greek people, noting that the USA they will continue to promote together with Greece the common goals for the promotion of peace and prosperity in the Eastern Mediterranean, the Western Balkans, the Black Sea region. “We look forward to continuing to deepen our cooperation with Greece, working with the government that will be chosen by the Greek people,” he said.
