With the end of the “first phase” of the constitutional post-election procedures and having already returned the exploratory mandate to form a government to the President of the Republic, Kyriakos Mitsotakis and Piraeus are heading full speed ahead “to the next phase” which is the new pre-election period for the next polls on June 25.

As long as the constitutional procedures are accelerated and next Sunday, June 28, the swearing-in of the new Parliament takes place and the following Monday the election of the Bureau, the following dissolution of the Parliament will simultaneously mean the new pre-election period.

A period that can, at first reading, be judged by general confession to be a “walk” for the SW, given its electoral triumph on May 21, and the double score it scored against SYRIZA, however, the message of Kyriakos Mitsotakis is clear and unequivocal and was formulated from the first moment of the historic victory. “A circle closes and a new one opens. We will go through it again together with guides using the language of truth and the relationship of trust that we have built with so much effort. The honest mood for self-criticism and the effort for continuous, continuous improvement. Without arrogance and without conceit that I personally will not tolerate” Kyriakos Mitsotakis expressed in all directions within his party during their statements after the sweeping electoral victory.

After all, ND’s goal is the percentage it received in Sunday’s election to maintain it in the next election in June, so that with the electoral system of the enhanced proportionality he can achieve the formation of a strong parliamentary government, which with the bonus given by the said electoral system could bring one of the strongest parliamentary governments majorities of decades.

The government staff and Piraeus they read Sunday’s electoral triumph on the one hand as a recognition of the ND’s governance proposal for a stable and strong self-reliant government that in turn can guarantee stability for the country and on the other hand as a reward for the consistency of words and works between pre-election commitments and government work.

In this light, the prime minister from next week will return to the intensive tour program for the new pre-election period as well, having “ticked off” as a priority in his calendar the areas he failed to visit during his previous pre-election campaign.

Areas of Northern Greece, in which his party, are high on this planning Kyriakos Velopoulos increased its percentages or showed a resilience while the “debut” party “Niki” showed its “height” gathering in Pieria a percentage of 7.46% and in Pella 6.13%.
