A Parliament of the Greeks with essentially a term of a few hours is the second time we have in the post-political annals.
In the presence of the President of the Republic Katerina Sakellaropoulou and the Interim Prime Minister Ioannis Sharma, the new, but short-lived, Parliament of the Greeks of the 10th Presiding Parliamentary Period, which resulted from the national elections of May 21, is sworn in.
The MPs started arriving at the Parliament building shortly after 17:30.
At their seats, each of them found a bag with books on the history of the Greek parliament.
It is worth noting that given the changes that will result from the results of the June 25 elections, some of them are not expected to be in parliament after the end of the new election round.
The deputies will swear, if desired, with a sacrificial oath, on the Gospel or the Koran, and then a political oath will follow.
Afterwards, their oath must be ratified by a signature.
The convocation of the solemn opening meeting of the new Parliament of the Greeks took place at 6 pm, presided over by the First Vice-President of the Parliament, Mr. Nikitas Kaklamanis, assisted by the four temporary Secretaries who are the youngest MPs per party.
First, Mr. Kaklamanis will read the Agenda, he will record in the Minutes the names of the 300 elected MPs and he will inform the House of the letters that the political leaders have sent to the Bureau about which of the three parliamentary seats they were elected to, they chose to keep.
Right away, Mr. Kaklamanis will invite the temporary First Secretary of the Parliament to accompany the Archbishop of Athens and All Greece, Mr. Ieronymos and the members of the Holy Synod to the Plenary Hall to perform the established consecration.
Afterwards, Mr. Kaklamanis will invite the MPs who wish to stand up and in the presence of the Archbishop and his High Priestly entourage, to take the oath provided for by Article 59 of the Constitution.

Parliament of two days for the second time
A Parliament of the Greeks with a mandate of a few hours, actually days, is the second time we have in the post-political annals.
