“The ND should also apologize and tell us if it will continue to have Mr. Psarianos on its ballots who called teachers “worms, bums and bastards”, added the candidate for parliament and member of the SYRIZA Electoral Committee- PS.
The “issue bank fiasco”, as she characterizes it, is referred to in her statement by Diana Voutirakou, parliamentary candidate and member of the Electoral Committee of SYRIZA-PS.
Mrs. Voutirakou cites yesterday’s announcement by the Hellenic Information Technology Union which, as she states, “documented how unfounded were the ND’s claims of a megaton cyberattack” and adds: “Although the attack described these days was allegedly not of the extent that give, it can be an occasion for a public debate, highlighting years of political choices of the ND that led to the suffering of thousands of students”.
Mrs. Voutyrakou criticizes the handling of Kyriakos Pierrakakis and Nikis Kerameos saying: “Mr. Pierrakakis has chosen the direct assignment of digital transformation projects to private individuals and the parallel degradation of the public sector. An illustrative example is that the Panhellenic School Network, which has the know-how to deal with such attacks, was excluded from the competitions of the Recovery Fund for the Digital Transformation of the IEP and the Online School. Mrs. Kerameos asked not to ask her institutionally about the problem that was created, because she is no longer a minister.”
Responding to the former Minister of Education, he argues: “However, a problem based on the fact that the Subject Bank was set up on a site that does not even meet security standards, while she was minister. These responsibilities are strengthened if one also reads the announcement of the Hellenic Information Technology Union which states that ‘in all probability we are again facing the results of sloppiness and lack of seriousness’. This time we expect clear answers from ND and Kyriakos Mitsotakis about what happened in the Issue Bank and of course about whether other sensitive special data of citizens in the digital services of the state are exposed without meeting the necessary security specifications and protocols” .
In closing, the SYRIZA-PS candidate comments: “However, after these developments, the ND should also apologize and tell us if it will continue to have Mr. Psarianos on its ballots, who he described as ‘worms, vagabonds and bastards’ the teachers”.
