In the context of the visits made by New Democracy ahead of the June 25 elections, a group led by the former Minister of Citizen Protection and candidate for the Western Sector 2nd Member of Parliament of Athens, Mr. Michalis Chrysochoidis visited the prefectures of Achaia and Ilia. During the tour, Mr. Chrysochoidis highlighted New Democracy’s programmatic positions in view of the June 25 elections and spoke with residents of the areas, while also meeting with representatives of authorities and agencies.

In the prefecture of Achaia, Mr. Chrysochoidis, accompanied by its members DEEP and politicians held a series of meetings in Aigio, in Western Achaia and in Patras, met with the members of the Board of Directors of the Aniaton Asylum and talked with professionals and employees of shops located on the central pedestrian street of Patras. The tour in Achaia ended with his keynote speech at the Stavropoulio Spiritual Center in the Vrachnaiika region, during which he emphasized, among other things, that a self-reliant New Democracy means security, stability, guarantee and perspective for the future while referring to the fields of education and economy spoke of a development leap led by the region of Western Greece, emphasizing the completion of the large projects that are expected in the next period and which, as he emphasized, will give new life to the region.

The following day the former Minister of Citizen Protection visited him prefecture of Ilia, where, among others, he spoke with residents of the areas of Nea Figaleia, Zacharo, Krestena and Olympia. Always accompanied by the local officials, the members of DEEP and DIMTO, as well as by the politicians of the region, Mr. Chrysochoidis spoke with shopkeepers of the region, recording the particularities of the local market, while in the evening the visit concluded with his keynote speech at city ​​of Pyrgos, during which he pledged that both he and the ND government will work towards the development of the region, emphasizing: “It is my great pleasure and honor to be today in Pyrgos, in Ilia. Based on a plan prepared by the local county committee, we have visited many areas of the county. The climate and the message we are getting from everywhere is a message of victory, the people of Ilia want stability, security, certainty and this means a great victory for New Democracy on June 25. The Greek people themselves are entitled to it, Greece is entitled to it, we want a strong popular mandate, which will give a strong self-reliant government so that we can take the next big steps in the economic, social and of course in the area of ​​our national security which so much a lot has happened in the last four years.

Our commitment and our promise to the Greek people is that we will not stop working, every minute, every hour, all the year, all the next four years to make people’s lives better and to give future and optimism and an open future to our children”, adding at the same time that: “at the end of the year, the studies for Pyrgos – Kalo Nero – Tsakona will be completed and submitted and in the first half of 2025 it will be auctioned with a mild intervention in the Caiaphas area”. Mr. Chrysochoidis, referring to Ancient Olympia, pointed out that: “the goal is to exploit the universal character of Olympia and Ilia and to make them a global destination for multiple forms of tourism and accommodation, but connected to a modern and extroverted production system that will respect the environment”.
