A delegation of the ND, led by the candidate for the North Sector of Athens, visited the island of Lemnos. Theodoros Roussopoulos and the member of the Executive Secretariat and candidate for parliament for the South Sector of Athens, Vasilis-Petros Spanakis, ahead of the June 25 elections.

During the tour, Mr. Rousopoulos and Mr. Spanakis visited the island’s Fire Service, the Port Authority and the Police, where they met with the officials, discussed with the employees of the EFKA Administration and insured, visited the GEF of AADE, met the mayor of the island Mr. Marinaki and the Metropolitan Mr. Ierotheos and developed the planning of the New Democracy for the health sector in a meeting they had with the Management, executives and employees of the Lemnos Hospital. Immediately after, they visited the regions of Atsiki and Moudro, where they exchanged views with residents, farmers, fishermen and professionals of the island on the problems that concern them.

Messrs. Rousopoulos and Spinach accompanied by the head of the Organization Department, Theodoros Dontsios, the candidate deputies of the prefecture as well as the president of the DEEP Prokopis Tzimis, met with party officials, visited local shops where they spoke with businessmen and workers and exchanged views with representatives of authorities and agencies in the area, conveying the government plan of New Democracy for the next four years. The program of the visit was completed with the open speech held together in the central hotel of the island in Myrina in the presence of a large number of people.

In his statements immediately after the end of the visits, the candidate Member of Parliament for the Northern Sector of Athens, Mr. Roussopoulos, emphasized: “At the ballot box on June 25th, seriousness and political decency face off against populism and political adventurism. We continue our fight with even greater courage and determination, all together, for the independent Greece we deserve”.

For his part, the member of the Executive Secretariat and candidate for Member of Parliament for the Southern Sector of Athens, Mr. Spanakis, made the following statement: “New Democracy is the choice of stability and responsibility. On June 25th we are voting for a government and an independent Greece. There is no need to be complacent because each electoral process is separate.”
