Ready to push “the button” of article 97 of the Rules of Procedure of the Parliament, she said on Wednesday Zoe Konstantopoulou at the press conference he gave.

Article 97 provides for the possibility to intervene in the parliamentary process freely, that is, not only as the leader of a parliamentary party, but also in the former capacity of president of the body.

According with article 97 of the Parliament’s regulation (read here in detail): “With the exception of paragraph 4 of article 143, the former Prime Ministers, who served as MPs and Party Leaders in Governments that received a vote of confidence from the Parliament and do not participate in the Government, are heard whenever they ask for the floor for a time equal to that allocated each time to the deputies representatives of the parliamentary groups for their introduction. The acting Presidents of the Parliament have the same right”.

At the same time, Mrs. Konstantopoulou announced that she would intervene in the hearings of institutions before the passing of bills concerning society, adding that she would participates with two votes in the Conference of Presidents, with one of them being hers, as she can participate in the meetings as a former president of the House.
