In the course of Greece-Turkey relations on the occasion of the new Erdoğan government, Mr Nikos Dendiasformer Minister of Foreign Affairs and ND parliamentary candidate in the South Sector of Athens, speaking on the show “Mismatched” on SKAI.
Questioned o Mr. Dendias, if he himself believes that Erdogan is changing his strategynoted that this will depend on the path his country wants to take. “I imagine that the Erdogan he wants to leave an imprint equal to Kemal’s”he characteristically said and added: “If Turkey wants to return to the West, then this will have as an important parameter the improvement of relations with Greece.”
In this case, he stated that Greece is obliged to show willingness to find a solution.
The other parameternoted the former foreign minister, is for Turkey to move on a path of regional superpower but coming into conflict with his own economy internally.
In the meantime, Mr. Dendias was asked to answer the issue that has arisen with the Muslim minority, stressing that the ND “rightly closed the matter” noting that every Greek MP must serve the interest of his country.
Referring to the result of the elections, he said that no one predicted the collapse of the opposition while admitting that tourism did not have the expected results as he noted “we had put our arm in the sky”
