The Deputy Minister of Sports referred to the two pillars for dealing with punctuality
The Deputy Minister of Sports Giannis Oikonomouemphasized in an interview with ERT that the Government of New Democracy protects society with a plan and sensitivity, as it did in the first four years.
“The first is support measures regarding the economically weaker, with a perimeter of products, such as for example with “Household Basket”, which worked perfectly. There is a wide range of products for which the “Household Basket” was applied for as many weeks as there were no fluctuations in prices and there were reductions in many categories. There were many products, essential for every household, that the consumer got at fixed or decreasing prices, regardless of inflation. This also created competition. It worked perfectly and that is why other countries have adopted it and are trying to implement it.
The second pillar is how to deal with the accuracy and the inflationary pressure that the Greek society is experiencing and especially the most vulnerable. This is the central orientation. Based on EL.STAT median incomes have increased, the minimum wage from 2019 to now has increased 20%. The world perceives everything and sums it up in trusting those who will govern it. The goal is more and better paying jobs. That means investment. It thus becomes a top goal to recover investment grade in terms of attracting investment, creating better jobs, enabling everyone to borrow more cheaply. It means continued wage increases to reach at the end of four years what we promised and committed to, that we will close the gap with the European Union average. That the average wage will be at 1,500 euros, that the minimum wage will increase even more at the end of the four years.
All this is not done with wishes, nor with findings and other things that have no continuity. They are done with an economic policy that will bring investments, which the State it will serve its regulatory framework, it will create better jobs, it will give incentives, it will continue on the axis of tax exemptions and tax relief, as it did in the first four years”.
