The EFKA law is constitutional, the regulatory act will be cured, clarifies in his statement Adonis Georgiadis on the decision of the Council of State.

As the Minister of Labor and Social Security points out. the goal is pensions to be awarded within 60 days – as is already the case – “and not to return to the delays of the past”.

“Regarding the decision of the CoE on EFKA, which we will study in detail, once we receive it in its entirety, it seems that the law that allows the selection of general managers from the private sector was deemed constitutional” characteristically mentions the minister in a post on his personal Twitter account, noting that the regulatory act that defined the addresses in which a director can be chosen from the private sector has been cancelled, for lack of special justification.

“That is to say, it should be defined in the regulations, because one general directorate needs an external general manager and another does not. So, the EFKA reform continues as normal and is valid. The decision of the CoE regarding this special issue will be respected and the problem will be cured” Mr. Georgiadis commits.
