“It is a very important message from the Hellenic Parliament to the diaspora Hellenism. We want their voice to be heard more loudly, we owe them a lot”, emphasized the Minister of the Interior
For “a very big victory of the political system, of the Parliament, of the parties as a whole (including the bill for the vote of the emigrants)”, Minister of the Interior Niki Kerameos spoke to SKAI and the show “Kalimera” with George Autias.
The Minister of the Interior emphasized that “it is an issue that is not left, right or centrist. It is a national issue. It was our commitment to get through this. It is no coincidence that it is the first bill of the new government in this term. It is the solution to a 48-year-old backlog. All of us together, over and above parties, with one fist, to send a message to Greeks everywhere, that we want their voice to be heard loudly”, clarifying that “those who are registered in the electoral rolls, whoever can take a plane and come to vote in Greece, we want to give him the facility, to be able to vote from his place of residence. It is a resounding message, it is one of the cases where we move beyond and above the parties. It is a very important message from the Hellenic Parliament to the diaspora Hellenism. We want their voice to be heard louder, we owe them a lot.”
“The solution proposed by SYRIZA divides the Greeks, creates Greek citizens of two categories and we are against such an approach”, he added.
Referring to the recruitments in the public sector, Ms. Kerameos noted that “we estimate 16 thousand recruitments. There are some areas of absolute priority, such as health. We have already started recruitment in the health sector. The most important thing is to foresee what needs the country will have. And this is where technology comes in and helps us, with artificial intelligence software, which will detect what the public’s needs will be in the medium and long term.”
