“The difficult situations do not invalidate the character of the event, nor its spirit and value”, emphasized the Deputy Minister of the Interior, responsible for Macedonia and Thrace
The special circumstances under which the 87th International Exhibition of Thessaloniki opened its doors was mentioned by the Deputy Minister of the Interior, responsible for Macedonia and Thrace, Stathis Konstantinidis, in his statement on the occasion of the opening of the TIF. “The unprecedented bad weather that hit the Region of Thessaly modified the original plan. Our minds and our efforts are focused on our fellow human beings who are being tested”, he emphasized, however he underlined that “difficult situations do not invalidate the character of the event, nor its spirit and value”.
At the same time, he pointed out that “the TIF continues to function as a field for highlighting the regional dynamics and development of Northern Greece, as an externalizing agent for local businesses, especially in the region, as a market for the promotion of goods to consumers and traders and as a table for the conclusion of business partnerships and commercial collaborations”.
“It remains a prestigious institution, part of the history, culture and psyche of Thessaloniki. I am sure that this year’s TIF will add another successful event, with a positive impression on the city, Northern Greece and the country” added Mr. Konstantinidis.
