Today from 8 in the morning, until 8 in the afternoon, the internal party elections will be held for the nomination of president in SYRIZA – Progressive Alliance.

Efi Ahtsioglou, Stefanos Kasselakis, Euclides Tsakalotos, Nikos Pappas and Stefanos Tzoumakas are vying for the presidency of the party, who have opened their papers and are anxiously awaiting the results of the ballot.

Efi Ahtsioglou will exercise her right to vote at the electoral center of Peristeri (Peristeri Town Hall Exhibition Hall, Karatheodori 1) at 10:00

Stefanos Kasselakis will exercise his right to vote at the electoral center of Peristeri, (Exhibition space of Peristeri Town Hall, Karatheodori 1), at 12:30.

Nikos Pappas will exercise his right to vote at the electoral center of Kaisariani (Kaisariani City Hall, event hall, Vryoulon 125 & Philadelphias) at 8:45.

Stefanos Tzoumakas will exercise his right to vote at the Kallithea polling station (Agios Nikolaos School Complex, 175 El. Venizelou Avenue) at 12:00.

Euclides Tsakalotos will exercise his right to vote at the Nea Ionia Election Center (1st Primary School of Nea Ionia, Kritis 77, Nea Ionia) at 1:00 p.m.

The climate, the image and the feeling that exists still gives Efi Ahtsioglou a lead for the first place, however, Stefanos Kasselakis can also be seen from the tours he is doing and the noise his candidacy has caused to be gaining significant ground. Steadily in the hunt for the race remain Euclid Tsakalotos, who has opened his pace beyond the “Umbrella” party officials, but also Nikos Pappas, who is trying to rally the “presidentialists”. The candidacy of Stefanos Tzoumakas has a more symbolic character.

It is recalled that the new president needs 50%+1 to be elected from the first round. In the event that this is not achieved, the differences will be resolved on September 24 between the two executives who separated.
