With an expanded program of contacts, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs for Economic Diplomacy and Outreach, Costas Fragogiannis, will participate in the work of the High Level Week of the 78th General Assembly of the United Nations (September 18-22, 2023), accompanying Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis.

Mr. Fragogiannis will represent Greece at the High Level Summit on Sustainable Development and the High Level Dialogue on Financing for Development, which will be held between September 18 and 20.

In particular, he will participate in a roundtable on “Innovative Solutions to Unlock Investment in the Sustainable Development Goals” and the subsection “Innovative Approaches and Partnerships to Boost Private Financing of the Sustainable Development Goals”.

He will also participate in part of the Prime Minister’s program which he will accompany in his bilateral meeting with the President of South Korea Yoon Suk Yeol as well as in his contacts with businessmen and prospective investors. In addition, the Deputy Secretary of State will have a working breakfast with representatives of hedge funds as well as a meeting with high-ranking Amazon executives.

During his stay in New York, Mr. Fragogiannis will also meet with the Deputy Foreign Minister of Turkey and his interlocutor on the issues of the Positive Agenda, Burak Akçapar. At the same time, he will have bilateral meetings with his counterparts in other countries, responsible for investments, and among them, with the Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology of the United Arab Emirates, Sultan Ahmed Al Jaber.
