“Efi’s candidacy, legitimately, democratically, openly, transparently, is supported by the entire staff who questioned and continues to question the course of transformation and expansion. This is not hidden,” said SYRIZA-PS MP Nikos Pappas in an interview with ERT.

“It turned out that there are two different political plans. The placement of the companion, the beloved, Efi Ahtsioglou, that there is no political plan in the candidacy of Stefanos Kasselakis, it does not touch reality»he noted, stressing that “Efi is supported by all the staff who work at “Umbrella”.

“There is an open political disagreement. Either we move forward with the transformation or we don’t move forward,” Mr. Pappas pointed out and added: “There were expressed disagreements. Remember our conference. We did not have a huge disagreement and very high tones if our leadership will be voted from the grassroots? We carry this disagreement in the present situation as well. And it is reflected in the two nominations.”

“It doesn’t do justice to the conversation, I watched Efi’s interview last night, let’s say that there is no political plan on the part of Stefanos’ candidacy. There is a political plan. It is the updating and the renewal of the project of the transformation of the party and on the other hand the prospect of canceling this policy has been clearly stated”he underlined.

Commenting on N. Fili’s statements, N. Pappas said “that there is no need for the Left to go for government”.

“It’s a point of view I disagree with. Shouldn’t Efi be placed as well? It was written in a text to the Central Committee that enlargement was a spineless polyseism. I disagree with this view. So there are two strategies, they are very clear and we do ourselves an injustice to talk about “cloudiness”, about the absence of a political plan, etc.”

“Of course we can all be together. And, above all, we can not get a divorce from the people. Because the greatest thing is our unity with the people. Staying united is an issue, but it is the means to restore unity with the parts of the electorate that made other choices in the last election.”the MP said and concluded:

The agreement we made with Stefanos Kasselakis was in broad daylight. It was in Parliament, we made a joint statement with a clear reference to our manifesto, which I don’t hear from the other side, with a clear reference to the national issues, with a clear reference to the middle class and the restoration of relations with it that was hurt by the law and Katrougalou’s statements, for example, about which I also hear no mention from the other side. So the field of convergence is transparent, honest and clear.”
