The Deputy Minister of National Economy and Finance Nikos Papathanasis spoke to SKAI and the show “Kalimera” with Giorgos Autias about the new NSRF programs starting in October.

“A NSRF program is starting which covers freelancers and start-ups. They will be able to receive up to a 50% subsidy on an investment project that will deposit up to 400,000 euros and receive a maximum of 200,000 euros. The program is for all of Greece, for start-ups and freelancers. The program will open in October.”

Also, Mr. Papathanasis referred to the special program for the delignitization areas. “It concerns Western Macedonia and Megalopolis for very small and small businesses, up to 100,000 euros, in which they will receive a subsidy of up to 70%. It will start running in early October.”

Regarding the increases in the salaries of the State, the Deputy Minister of National Economy and Finance emphasized: “We are implementing the program as we had announced it before the elections. The Greek people understood that we did what we said.”

Asked about the internal party elections in SYRIZA, Mr. Papathanasis replied: “We welcome the democratic process. This is how Kyriakos Mitsotakis was elected. We want an opposition that speaks effectively about society’s problems, not an opposition that until today spoke with toxicity. We are looking for serious opposition. This is what we will expect whoever is elected.”

Referring to the disasters that Thessaly suffered from the floods, Mr. Papathanasis underlined that “To date, 2 billion 200 million euros of resources are going to Thessaly and we expect other support from the Solidarity Fund. Thessaly is at the center of the government’s attention.”
