A “nuclear explosion” in SYRIZA would not benefit anyone, the former president said
Alexis Tsipras appeared cheerful and relaxed to the parliamentary editors, arriving at his new office in the Parliament, immediately after the meeting with the new leader of SYRIZA-PS, Stefanos Kasselakis, which lasted an hour and a half.
“You wished him an ironhead. Did he understand?’ a reporter asked him.
“Politics are events my dear, as Churchill said. We won’t let you get hurt. Not me, SYRIZA,” the former head of the official opposition replied jokingly.
“Did you speed him?” commented a journalist.
“He’s a quick learner…” she said with a laugh.
And the discussion continued as follows, with Mr. Tsipras answering the questions in a relaxed mood and with humor,
Journalist: Delivery-received…
Al. Tsipras: It is not a ministry to deliver and receive. What should I give him? I gave him the “suitcase” with the nuclear codes.
Journalist: The issue is whether we will have a nuclear explosion…
Al. Tsipras: It wouldn’t benefit anyone, I don’t think…
Reporter: Are you going to the stadium tonight?
Al. Tsipras: This is indeed a serious question. Let’s see if the little one will read early.
Closing the short conversation he had with the journalists, he said that he will be in the Parliament very often, adding that “this is my office”.
