From the Caesariani of struggles and historical memory, from the red Caesariani, we are calling for reinforcement of the ballots supported by the KKE, the “People’s Rally”, in Sunday’s municipal and regional elections.

It is time for the “Popular Mobilization”, with candidate regional governor Yiannis Protoulis, to be the surprise of this electoral contest in Attica.

It is the next step after the KKE emerged as the third party in the largest region of the country in the recent parliamentary elections and indeed in many municipalities with double-digit percentages, such as here in Kaisariani.

And it is time for the people of Kaisariani to once again have a competitive municipal authority and a communist mayor, Ilias Stamelos, which in order to deprive them in the previous elections, ND, SYRIZA and PASOK did everything they could with their miserable alliance” emphasized the General Secretary of the KE of the KKE, Dimitris Koutsoubas, in his speech this evening at a large gathering in Kaisariani.

“The ND government says that the municipal and regional councils that will be elected this and next Sunday must share its own priorities and goals.

At the same time, of course, its candidates, like those of SYRIZA and PASOK, go back to the neighborhoods and represent the so-called “self-governing” and the so-called “non-partisans”. We have seen this “bad theater” play out many times before. We know, of course, that if these so-called people are elected, Mr. Mitsotakis will paint the map blue on Sunday and celebrate that his policy got another approval,” said D. Koutsoubas and then underlined:

What should be done, therefore, in the elections on Sunday is exactly the opposite: The government should suffer its first major setback. To receive a strong message, that in what he is preparing and which he has already started legislating, he will find it dark. That the people do not give her a blank check. That the workers do not accept to work 13 hours a day in two jobs, because the one salary does not even arrive until the 15th of the month. That they will not accept to pay the return to bloody surpluses and tight fiscal policy, while still paying the consequences of the previous policy of huge packages and cheap loans to business groups, which brought inflation. That in the face of the next disasters to which they have left our people exposed, in the face of any dangerous developments that involve the country’s involvement in the US and NATO plans together with the Greek-Turkish bargains even for the country’s sovereign rights, our people must and may have more props on his side to face difficulties. And such are the communist mayors, the militant municipal and regional councilors who may, this time, be much more».

Commenting on what is being said by SYRIZA officials and by the president of PASOK that “Mitsotakis’ elected representatives in municipalities and regions must be voted against”, he noted that “we completely agree. But to have a good question: in the regions and municipalities where either PASOK, or SYRIZA, or both at the same time have the same elected official as Mitsotakis – and these cases are not few – what exactly are they calling for? In voting against their candidates? Even mockery has its limits.”

Addressing those who in the parliamentary elections gave a “last chance to SYRIZA”, he said that the opportunity was used “to complete its evolution into a pure-blooded bourgeois – and therefore leader – politically degenerate, party” and added:

“Today anyone who feels progressive, left-wing here in Kaisariani, surely knows that “left” means organization and real participation, collective assertion. It means opposing every injustice, fighting against the war of the USA, the EU and NATO, it means fighting for the disengagement of our country from interventions and wars. It means historical memory, selflessness, solidarity. Ultimately, it means fighting for the abolition of the exploitation of man by man, for the building of a just society.

When he hears “left”, he thinks of Napoleon Soukatzides refusing to have another comrade take his place, as suggested by his Nazi German captors, and standing with the others on the wall of the Shooting Range.

When he hears left, progress, he doesn’t think of messianism, self-satisfaction, narcissism, seeing everything, even the holy place of Makronissos, as a decor for your self-promotion by shooting a poorly printed, cheap, Hollywood commercial.”

“We know” said, among others, D. Koutsoubas “that too many people see all this and your hair stands on end! So make the decision. Cut off all ties with this politically degenerate space and any future offshoots of it now.

Come with the KKE that extends its hand to you, so that we can fight the battles ahead of us together. And the first such battle is, of course, that of Sunday’s municipal and regional elections.

Let Kaisariani become a point of reference again with the election of a communist mayor, Ilias Stamelos, just as Patras has become with Kostas Peletidis”.

He said that “until the polls close on Sunday, let’s exhaust every margin so that no vote for the “People’s Rally” is lost. Because these votes turn to the side of the people from the next day. So that the parties of the system and their candidates lose even more power. To have more communist mayors, more candidates supported by the KKE in the second round on October 15″.

“Let’s succeed in Kaisariani with the election of the mayor, Ilias Stamelos. Let’s launch the percentages of the “People’s Rally” in the Region of Attica with Yiannis Protoulis” concluded the General Secretary of the Central Committee of the KKE in his greeting.
