With a legislative initiative based on the protection of the insurance system from new deficits, the victims of which would ultimately be the taxpayers and the rest of the pensioners, the government will respond to the decision of the Court of Auditors on the judges’ pensions, Mr. Hatzidakis said in a statement.

In relation to the announcement of the Court of Auditors regarding the recent decisions 1030, 1031 and 1032/2023, the Minister of National Economy and Finance Mr. Kostis Hatzidakis made the following statement:
“The government reiterates that it respects Justice. But he also respects the sacrifices of Greek citizens in the past decadebut also the need for the country to move steadily forward, away from new economic adventures.
Following the decisions of the Court of Auditors, the government will take a relevant legislative initiative without delaywhich, however, as its main axis will have the protection of the insurance system from new deficits, the victims of which would ultimately be the taxpayers and the rest of the pensioners”.
