What the SYRIZA MP said about the second round of the elections
“We are 3 months after an overwhelming defeat in the elections, we changed the leader and I think that the new leadership cannot be blamed for the result”, said Petros Pappas MP of SYRIZA, commenting on the result of the self-governing elections on the show “Today” on SKAI .
“The new leader found a ready strategy. I think we have to give time”, he emphasized, adding that SYRIZA must change its strategy and express the demands of society, and that’s where I think the game will be focused.
Asked about the percentages of the party that fell noticeably in Thessaly, Mr. Pappas estimated that in the second round the scene will be reversed, while for the mayor of Volos he described his statements as “disappointing”, adding “may the citizens of Volos rejoice in him Mr. Beo” adding that “it worries me that the citizens were applauding”.
“Far from us all obscenity and we renounce any libel against the prime minister, any against him”, he stressed and we disapprove of the characterizations.
Asked if the choice of candidates led to a further drop in SYRIZA’s percentages, Mr. Pappas argued that the hand of friendship to PASOK did not prosper.
