The government should now stop the brutal extortion against the citizens and the dangerous games that expose our country

In the last few days we have been watching the unacceptable and anti-institutional attempt by government officials to blackmail the citizens to support the ND elites in Municipalities and Regions.

Adonis Georgiadis started by saying that a left-wing mayor cannot claim NSRF for the benefit of his city.

Lefteris Avgenakis then went so far as to link the provision of compensation and support measures to those affected in Thessaly with Sunday’s election result for the Region of Thessaly.

Today the government representative has crossed all limits of danger, involving the war in Israel and Palestine in the internal pre-election confrontation and the management of European programs and resources for the development of local societies.

It is not the first time that the ND brutally blackmails the citizens before the elections. It is not the first time that he has gone so far as to instrumentalize sensitive issues related to foreign policy and national security to target political opponents.

We call on the government to stop now its dangerous games that expose our country and brutal blackmail against citizens and their free will.
