“Greece is an equal, reliable interlocutor in yet another crisis in the Middle East,” said government spokesman Pavlos Marinakis, speaking on Sunday morning on SKAI on Giorgos Autias’ show “Morning”.

Commenting on the war in Israel and the Prime Minister’s visit to the country, he commented that “Kyriakos Mitsotakis practices a responsible foreign policy, a balanced policy” stressing that “Greece is getting stronger diplomatically, defensively and economically”.

Heating allowance for electricity

Asked about the heating allowance that will be given to citizens who heat with electricity, Mr. Marinakis clarified that “they were the only ones who were not covered” for this reason and the government had to somehow cover them. He underlined that the total subsidy in this category has exceeded 9.5 billion.

Salary and pension increases

The government spokesman also pointed out that “there is not going to be any tax increase” for citizens. “For the second year in a row, the gross disposable income of citizens has increased. Citizens’ money has reached pre-2011 levels,” he stressed.

This is as he said:
-with the adoption of 50% of the financial program
– by increasing the tax-free allowance for all families and children.
– the significant interventions in the maternity allowance for freelancers and farmers and with
– interventions for pensioners

Accuracy

Regarding accuracy, he said that it is an “imported crisis”. He added that Greece has managed to “deal with it in a better way and with fewer consequences compared to other European countries”. At the same time, inflation is below the European average.

As he said, it is about three pillars of the policy:

– Increase in income
-Extraordinary supports
-Controls
