Erdogan reiterated that Turkey could be a guarantor force in Gaza – Everyone owes Israel, but Turkey has no debt, he said and spoke of Europe’s two standards: “Today we see that what they did against the Jews in history tied the feet of European countries and brought them to the point of denial” he said
New statements by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, who on the return flight from Astana to Ankara reiterated that Turkey could become a guarantor force in Gaza.
As broadcast from Istanbul by Manolis Kostidis, referring to the issue of Palestine, the Turkish president said: “We have been talking about the guarantee issue continuously since the moment these events started. We said: If the duty of the guarantor country comes to Turkey, we are ready to take it, we can be a guarantor country. In Cyprus, Greece can be a guarantor country, England can be a guarantor country, and if Turkey is a guarantor country, why not have a similar structure in Gaza? What could be more natural than Turkey being a guarantor country in Gaza? So we can assume the role of guarantor country there as well. Events will show what form this will take, time will tell.”
Referring to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Erdogan said: “I have no contact at the moment. Our MİT president Ibrahim Kalin meets the Israeli side. Of course, he also negotiates with Palestine and Hamas. Let me tell you this, Netanyahu is no longer someone we can talk to. We deleted him and threw him away”.
The Turkish president continued by repeating that everyone owes Israel, but Turkey does not: “They all owe Israel a debt. But Turkey owes Israel nothing. There is no clearer statement than this. Now Germany cannot repay its debt. It is very clear. Others are just like that. Some politicians there, where our law is very advanced, say ‘we owe a debt to Israel, clearly we are paying that debt’. I won’t mention names. A German politician, with whom I am very frank, says: ‘We are in debt’. There is the Holocaust. Now they are paying their debt.”
And he continued: “The history of double standards, lack of principles and lawlessness is being written in Europe. Today we see that what they did against the Jews in history tied the feet of the European countries and brought them to the point of denial. What makes you ignore the baby corpse series? What makes Europe so blind that it cannot see the bombs falling on Gaza? What kind of religious debt is it that can make people ignore ugly and inhumane massacres as bad as those committed then? We don’t want the future, but God forbid, if a European country were to witness similar massacres, the European Union would take a stand depending on whether it owes the person who committed the massacre.
» It is not possible for Netanyahu to act according to the authentic Torah. Because it’s not authentic. We act with what is true. Is there anything related to what is mentioned in the Ten Commandments and what Israel is doing? Doesn’t one of the ten commandments say “thou shalt not kill”? But it kills these kids. This is already enough for him. He kills women, that’s enough for him. These Ten Commandments alone are more than enough. He (Netanyahu) gets up, talks about the Torah and the next day he talks about the Bible. What you did has nothing to do with the Bible or the Torah. Neither the Bible nor the Torah nor the Psalms accept this.”
Referring to Sweden’s NATO membership, Erdogan said: “Unfortunately, no measures have been taken against the activities of the terrorist organization so far. PKK in Sweden. No step has been taken. It was our duty to refer this issue to Parliament in the first place and we did.
Now, as our friends in parliament, the People’s Alliance, we will continue our work there. The other day, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg sent me a little message of thanks. He is also following these studies closely. He says that he considers my step to send this matter to Parliament positive. So I messaged him.
» I said, from now on it belongs to the Parliament. If America has a House of Representatives and a Senate, we also have a House. We will see how our parliament will interpret it and how it will negotiate. As you know by now, budget season has arrived. The Parliament will concentrate intensively on the budget. The budget was debated in committee, but now comes to the G.S. The activities of the General Assembly are not so short in our budget. But we will try to make it as easy as possible. At this point, we will try to make our best positive effort. It is enough that those around us approach us positively.”
